Making The Move Easier

Have you just bought or sold a piece of Tempe AZ real estate? If so, then there is a moving day on the horizon for you and your family. Before you can put those vinyl wall letters up and turn your new house into a home, you have to get all of your belongings from point A to Z. The process of moving can be a real hassle, but we have a list of helpful hints that should make things go easier once the big day arrives.

Start packing right away!

Too many people wait until the day they move to do the majority of their packing. It's easy to see why this happens, what with everyday life getting in the way of doing all the little extra things you need in order to get ready for a move to new Port Credit homes.

However, a stitch in time really does save nine, and in the case of moving it will save a lot of anxiety as well. Start packing up well before your move out day. Begin with the less-used parts of your home. Get those Bahco tools in the shop packed up safely first, or the different instruments in the sewing room. As the day gets closer, start packing up the items you use more frequently. When the big day finally arrives, you should have only the household essentials left to box.

Pack safely!

Always label every box, indicating exactly where it should go in the new house. The last thing you need is an injury while moving, so make sure you pack everything safely. Wrap up electric cutters, sheers, knives, even scissors so they don't jab someone from inside the box. Don't attempt to carry anything that's too heavy all on your own!

Remove distractions

When it comes to the actual moving day, you are going to want all non-essential help out of the way. Young kids and pets can be underfoot a lot, and you don't want them to add to the stress of the day or, God forbid, get hurt either.

Call up a relative (a grandparent is your best option) or friend who can look after your kids and/or your pets for you as you are loading your belongings onto a truck. That way, you can move your goods quickly while your indie rock blasts in the background without worrying about stepping on a little being.
